Hosted Bellevue Hospital Diabetes Program For Children
At Bellevue Hospital conducting type 1 diabetes programs for children on June 11 in Conference Rooms A and B, 1400 W. Main St. Bellevue.
Activities for children aged 6-18, diabetes type-1, and their immediate families.
Program 6.30-7.30 pm and will also be a dinner-style picnic, a walk in the TBH in the well-being and hiking, the type-1 diabetes and information on diabetes groups of self-help.
Type 1 diabetes is mostly diagnosed in children and young adults and was previously known as juvenile diabetes. In diabetes type-1, the body produces no insulin. Insulin is a hormone needed to convert sugar (glucose), starches and other food into energy needed for daily life.
All children who participated in this program will also be responsible for door prizes.
Registration deadline is Thursday. The program is sponsored by TBH, Lilly and Roche Corporation.
